How to add the link
Claude
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector, name it TabTools and paste the link.
ChatGPT
- Open Settings, then Apps & Connectors, then Advanced settings, and turn on Developer mode.
- Click Create, name it TabTools, paste the link and pick No authentication.
While you're away
Your screen can still turn off and lock. Leave Chrome open, and keep a laptop plugged in with the lid open.
Claude opens its tabs in its own minimized Chrome window, so your window stays clean. It closes when Claude is done, and it works even when your Chrome is in full screen.
Hide the "started debugging" bar
Chrome shows this bar while Claude is working, and it goes away a few seconds after Claude stops. To never see it, do this once:
Done. Chrome now opens without the debugging bar.
- Click Copy below.
- Open Terminal: press Command and Space, type Terminal, press Return.
- Paste with Command and V, then press Return. Chrome closes and opens again with your tabs.
- From now on, open Chrome with Chrome for Claude. Find it with Command and Space, type Chrome for Claude, then drag it to your Dock in place of Chrome.
- Click Copy below.
- Open PowerShell: press the Windows key, type PowerShell, press Enter.
- Paste with Ctrl and V, then press Enter. Chrome closes and opens again with your tabs.
- Keep opening Chrome the way you always do. Your taskbar, Start menu and desktop Chrome shortcuts now open it without the bar, and there is a Chrome for Claude shortcut on your desktop too.
